About us

Church history

We are affiliated to The Work of Restoration of All Things Church that is founded on the principles of the New Testament, aiming to live out the spirit and teachings of the early church. The movement began in Brazil in 1962, established by former Baptist pastors Rev. Dr. Magno G. Simões and Rev. Dr. Elmir G. Maia, who sought to return to biblical foundations in the face of cultural and moral shifts of the time. This relationship represents more than theological alignment; it is a spiritual partnership rooted in mutual commitment to Scripture, Christian fellowship, and faithful service. Church in Greenville functions under the same spiritual guidance and ministerial standards upheld in all WRATCH churches around the world. Our local congregation in Greenville, South Carolina, began gathering in 2023 and was officially organized on October 23, 2023. We continue the vision of restoration and discipleship, grounded in scripture and spiritual community.

Mission, Vision and Value

We are a family-centered church that values fellowship, the teaching of God’s Word with integrity, and evangelism through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to spiritually nourish and equip each member to fulfill their God-given purpose in Christ. We emphasize discipleship, compassion, practical testimony of the Gospel, and service to the community, striving to be a living church both within and beyond the walls of our building.

Biblical Standard

The beliefs and doctrine of the Work of Restoration of All Things Church are based on the Holy Bible, God's infallible written Word contained in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.

Universal Creeds:

The Work of the Restoration of All Things

Subscribed Creeds

The Church subscribes to the following three universal creeds of the Christian faith:

  • The Apostles’ Creed
  • The Athanasian Creed
  • The Nicene Creed

Our Brief Statement of Faith

• We believe in the Bible as the written Word of God, given for our instruction.

• We believe in all the doctrines of the New Testament apostles as divine teachings and commandments.

• We worship one God in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—Creator and Sustainer of all things in heaven and on earth, as affirmed in the Athanasian Creed.

• We believe in Jesus Christ as the only Savior of our souls: the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, conceived by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit.

• We believe in the human and divine nature of Christ, His death on the cross, His glorified bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His eternal power.

• We believe in the Holy Spirit as the Comforter of the Church, who inspires the preaching of the Gospel and convicts mankind of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

• We believe in the eternal security of the true believer, saved and regenerated by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Three Symbolic Ordinances of the Church

Baptism

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper

Baptism by immersion in flowing water, such as a river, as a symbol of the burial and resurrection of the one who died to the world and was raised as a new creation in Christ.

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper, with unleavened bread and grape juice, as a symbol of the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Foot Washing

The Lord’s Supper

Foot Washing

Foot washing after the Lord’s Supper, using water, a basin, and a towel, as a symbol of humility and equality among believers.

Other Core Beliefs

• We believe in the validity and present-day manifestation of the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit.

• We believe in the restoration of the global Church, in increasing obedience to all New Testament doctrines, and that the Church will bear the final witness on earth in these last days.

• We believe in a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by signs, wonders, and miracles before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

• We believe in the visible Second Coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, the condemnation of the unrepentant, and the reward of faithful believers.
